Woman Found Lying In Roadway Airlifted To Hospital Not Struck By Car: Frederick Sheriff

A woman found lying in the roadway was airlifted to an area hospital in Frederick on Thursday night, April 11, authorities said.

The woman was found at the intersection of Route 355 and Route 85 just before 11:50 p.m., the sheriff's office said.

The woman was treated for injuries by personnel from the Department of Fire and Rescue Services and flown to a regional trauma center where she remains with non-life-threatening injuries.

Further investigation has determined that the adult female was not struck by a motor vehicle and the investigation is on going to determine exact details that contributed to her injuries.
